By 2001, the event had grown into a large, established festival, with tickets for most events selling out in record time.
Due to huge demand, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham returned, as did the children’s show in the Picture House, this time with the Fairly Famous Family.
Four Men and Dog made their first appearance on Saturday night, and the fringe events grew to include all genres of music.
2001 also marked the debut of the Kintyre Schools Pipe Band at Survivors Night, in the first of what would become legendary performances.
