Join us as we close out this year’s celebrations with a massive party in the Victoria Hall, pulling out all the stops with a huge line-up and promise of even bigger performances, including the return of Slainte Davaar Allstars and Kintyre Schools Pipe Band.
It’s the night that created legends. Are you in?
A Kilkerran Distillery sponsored event.
Slainte Davaar Allstars will once again headline this year’s Kilkerran Survivors Night. Every year, the band recruit new and incredibly talented musicians to join them on stage to produce a sound that is a powerhouse of vocals, lively rhythm section and dazzling horns all fused into one.
If past years are anything to go by, Campbeltown’s supergroup will close out the 30th live Festival celebration with an exquisite set — this one is not to be missed.
The Kintyre Schools Pipe Band will perform at three events across this year’s festival as well as two performances at the Head of the Quay, leading into the Festival Parade.
The 3 events are the Festival Ceilidh Night on Aug 11th, Doon the Green and the Kilkerran Survivors Night on Aug 13th. This will be the band’s first performance on Sunday night since 2016, so it’s a performance not to be missed.
we.R.soul return to perform at their fourth Mokfest, having produced some fantastic performances in the past few years at Survivors Night and ‘Up the Close’. The band bring together established local musicians and fresh talent to create a sound that is a powerhouse of vocals, a lively rhythm section and dazzling horns; all fused into one.
Che Martin, a local singer-songwriter, will be performing with his band The Goodness, which includes Dave Baggaley, Ben McMillan, and Cameron Campbell for the first time. They recently played at the 2024 Kintyre Songwriters Festival and received a great response from the audience with their blend of indie folk rock.
Che’s lyrics have been described as Dylanesque, and his folk songs are anthemic. With a few surprise guest players, his gigs are never ordinary affairs.
Under Smoke will be performing at Kilkerran Survivors’ Night for the first time. The band consists of Sam MacPhee, Andrew Black, and Craig Nelson, and they are an acoustic/electric trio who perform covers as well as original songs. They recently delivered two fantastic sets at this year’s Kintyre Songwriters Festival and are really looking forward to playing at this year’s MOK Fest.
The Survivors Night Concert will kick off with performances by some of the finest local and national traditional musicians. The Session A83 band consists of a core group of local musicians, along with several other musicians who have performed and endured the weekend.
