Although she has a parallel career as an actress and television presenter, MacInnes is also widely regarded as one of the twenty-first century’s finest exponents of the art of Gaelic song. She was born and raised in South Uist in the Western Isles, long regarded as a hotbed of Scottish traditional music.
Kathleen released two albums to critical acclaim, winning Gaelic Singer of the Year in 2006 and Album of the Year 2012 at the Trad Awards. She featured on Ridley Scott’s Hollywood Blockbuster Robin Hood and recently guested with Skye-based Niteworks. 2023 sees the release of her third album.
Mike Vass is one of the most creative forces on the Scottish music scene and will join on fiddle.
