It is with a very heavy heart that we must confirm that the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival 2020 will be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We had hoped that we would go ahead however, with the impact of the pandemic on travel and the uncertainty around government restrictions on gatherings and events, this sadly means it will be impossible to run an event such as this. It is paramount to the MOK fest that it is a safe, family-friendly event and sadly this can’t be guaranteed under the current restrictions. Whilst we understand the decision is disappointing, we feel it is the right one to protect the safety of visitors and artists who travel from around the world to Campbeltown and Kintyre.
On that note MOK Fest would like to continue to offer you all a chance to share in what we enjoy, that is listening to, and taking part in music and live performances. Join us in Campbeltown and Kintyre’s first ever online music festival. We are extending an invite to musicians, performers and sponsors to take part in our virtual event which will run from Aug 19th – 23rd.
MOK fest is traditionally a time to catch up with well kent faces, family and to make new friends, that won’t change for next year as MOK Fest looks forward to welcoming you back to Campbeltown and Kintyre in August 18th to 22nd 2021.
In the meantime you can still listen to our MOKFest Through the Years Spotify playlist at (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0eLQTjQhp5K5NIepsJuaV8…),
Please stay safe and well and look after each other.
