Year 27

2019

This was the year we launched the West Coast Rocks Concert on Saturday night in the Victoria Hall and welcomed on board a sponsor for this concert, Glen Scotia Distillery. The format for this concert allowed us to hold a mini festival within the Festival, featuring three of the top and up-and-coming bands on the west coast festival scene. The first concert was headlined with Manran, supported by Heron Valley and Rhuvaal featuring many local musicians opening the concert.

Dougie MacLean played to a sell-out concert at Campbeltown Heritage Centre supported by Ceann Tir comprised of eight local young musicians who had come through the MOK Fest Music Development partnership programme with Campbeltown Grammar School. Other headliners included Ainsley Hamill, Chriss Stout.

Free events such as the Carnie West Parade, Up the Close, the Festival Club now hosted in the Kilbrannan Bar Lounge, Heritage & whisky tours, pub sessions, performances and the now-established music tuition workshops continued in Campbeltown Grammar School.
