The Festival was delighted to welcome onboard Michell’s Glengyle Distillery as sponsors of the 2008 Dalriada Connections Concert, with Jarlath Henderson and Innes Watson as headliners. Ross Kennedy and Archie McAllister also performed at the event, which also included a free sponsor miniature with each ticket.
The Saturday night concerts were headlined by the Justin Curry Band and Capercaillie, and a new Open Mic event was launched in the Town Hall. Skipinnish Headlined the Festival Ceilidh with Joshua U2 headlining Survivors Night with Wee Toon Tellers and Kintyre Schools Pipe also performing.
This was the year the Festival introduced free tuition workshops in Kirk Street Hall, which have now become regular annual workshops which are held in Campbeltown Grammar School.
