We are delighted to announce the first of the bands for MOK Fest 26 which takes place on Aug 8th – 12th.
The Saturday night concerts on Aug 11th see the return of two headline acts with huge fan bases across Scotland and the UK. The Victoria Hall headlines with the rave legends The Time Frequency who blew the roof of the Vic in their first appearance in 2016. The TTF will be supported by DJ Rankin and local band Gullion who will open the night.
There’s also loads of traditional bands playing across the other 6 ticketed concerts including festival favourites Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham who headline the Traditional Concert in their first ever performance in Campbeltown Heritage Centre. They will be joined Helca, a young 4 piece vocal and instrumental band who recently played a fantastic concert at Celtic Connections. They will open the concert with Arthur Johnstone as MC.
On Friday Aug 10th The Grouse Ceilidh Band make their debut at the Festival Ceilidh Night as do local outfit Rhuvaal who have been making a great name for themselves over the past couple of years. The Dalriada Connections Band featuring musicians from across the weekend line-up alongside students and tutors for Campbeltown Grammar School wil open the concert sets and the Kintyre Schools Pipe Band will get the night started in their usual rousing style.
