Thanks

By September 18, 2018

Thanks for all your support this year. Again, the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival proved a runaway success, and we are already planning next year’s event.

We are looking to make minor alterations to the programme, as with every event occasionally things need to be ‘tweeked.’ Can we once more thank our funding partners – Creative Scotland, Argyll and Bute Council and Campbeltown Common Good Fund for their ongoing support. We would also like to thank Springbank Distillery for the use of their grounds and also the help setting up the event. The Heritage Centre for moving mountains – literally – to turn the space into an auditorium for the event, and, of course, the staff and management of the Victoria Hall for their ongoing assistance.

There are many others who make the event possible, like JIG Events, McKerral’s Transport, Campbeltown Grammar School Music Department, Kintyre Schools Pipe Band, Brass Band, Footnotes, James McCorkindale’s Dancing School, Angus at the A and B Cleansing Department, Shanks, Highland Parish Church, James and Elaine at the Kilbrannan Bar, Margaret and Allison at the A and B Legal Department, Vintage Tractors, the Mini Club and everyone who took part in the parade and supporting events., We also would like to thank our local Councillors for their unstinting support. The list goes on and on, so if we haven’t mentioned you in the list – a big thanks for your help.

Last, but certainly not least, thanks again to the festival committee – your commitment under pressure is commendable.

Now – on to next year!
