Details of the Saturday of the festival will be confirmed shortly but promises to be bigger and better than past years with the Festival Parade, Doon the Green, Burnside Bash, Festival Sessions, Street entertainers, the main festival concert and the new Saturday Night Traditional concert.  Details will appear as they are confirmed.
 
Festival Parade, 12.30pm (FREE) - This annual event with a carnival atmosphere just gets bigger and better every year.  Groups, organisations and individuals are encouraged to join in the fun and look out for the New Festival Cup award this year as well as the usual cash prizes for the best dressed floats.  Starting off from the esplanade and travelling through Campbeltown's historic Main Street and Longrow, the Festival Parade is not to be missed!  Click here to find out more >>>>

Doon the Green, 1.00pm (FREE) - We are looking forward to a bit of sun again this year and more bands on stage than ever in our expanded afternoon extravaganza.  Cabin Fever from Mid Argyll will headline this event with children’s entertainment being provided by the Funky Chicken and her helpers.  Click here to find out more >>>>

Confirmed for 2011!  The Mull of Kintyre Music Festival committee are delighted to announce that the Bootleg Beatles will headline the all standing concert on Saturday 20th August.  Described by Graham Norton as “the biggest tribute band in the world”, they will take a trip down the original long and winding road.  The band has already stated that they can hardly wait to visit Campbeltown and the Mull of Kintyre which is also the title of the hit penned by Paul McCartney.  Click here to find out more >>>>


Confirmed and NEW for 2011!  The new Saturday Night Traditional concert will be held in the Campbeltown Heritage Centre and will have new cushioned seating installed upstairs for this year’s Festival.  The management committee of the Festival also intends to black out the windows to help create an atmosphere in the venue that will complement the bands that will perform there.  Headlining the concert will be The Karen Matheson Band featuring 4 members of Celtic super group Capercaillie, Jim Malcolm former vocalist with the Old Blind Dogs will play support.  Arthur Johnstone will MC the concert which will feature one more act which is TBC.  This new vocal based concert replaces the event which was held in the Campbeltown Picture House until 2009.  Click here to find out more >>>>
