The
Dalriada Connections Band
Jarlath Henderson & Innes Watson: Jarlath, from
Dungannon, County Tyrone, has been playing the Uilleann
pipes since he was 10 years old; he makes his second
appearance of the weekend here, as he will also be
performing with Capercaillie at the Picture House Concert on
the Saturday night. Innes Watson, a
professional guitarist, fiddler, composer and arranger
graduated with a BA in Scottish Music from the RSAMD in 2006
makes his first appearance at the Festival.

Archie McAllister with Ross Kennedy:
Archie and Ross make a welcome return to the Festival and
play for the first time together since they took their
separate career paths almost 10 years ago. Archie a
native of Campbeltown and makes his first appearance at the
Dalriada Connections concert this year. A firm favourite of
the Festival, Archie, played fiddle at last years Picture
House Concert with Scooter Muse and performs every year at
Survivors Night with The Wee Toon Tellers. Ross, a
professional musician plays guitar, fiddle and sings, he
lives locally in Campbeltown and performed with Canterach at
last years concert. He has played with many bands over the
years including the Tannahill Weavers, Iron Horse and the
Jura Ceilidh Band.

Lorne
MacDougall, one of
Scotland’s leading young pipers was born and brought up in
Carradale. He began to learn the pipes with Tony Wilson, the
pipe major of Campbeltown Pipe Band and was a founder member
of the prize-winning Kintyre Schools Pipe Band on its
formation in 1999. On leaving school, Lorne studied for a BA
in Scottish Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and
Drama in Glasgow, graduating with honours in 2005. He has
played with many traditional bands over the years, appearing
with Canterach at the Festival in both 2006 & 2007.

Dalriada Connections Band,
This unique band comes together each year under the name of
the Dalriada Connections Band, consisting of all the artists
who have performed over the course of the concert and more.
Last years band (pictured) finished of the concert to a rousing
ovation, which ended a truly special concert.
